• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information through our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Dietary Preferences: Information about your dietary goals, preferences, allergens, and nutritional targets that you choose to provide.
• User Content: Reviews, ratings, saved favourites, and other content you submit through the Service.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby cafes and restaurants. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings.
• Camera Data: With your permission, we access your device camera to scan restaurant menus. Images are processed to extract nutritional information and are not stored permanently on our servers.
• Crash and Performance Data: We use Sentry to collect crash reports and performance data to improve the reliability of our Service.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, features used, and search queries.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Show you nearby cafes and restaurants based on your location
- Scan and analyse menu items for nutritional information
- Personalise your experience based on dietary preferences
- Send notifications about saved cafes and new options matching your preferences
- Monitor and analyse usage patterns to improve the Service
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database platform. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest.
Authentication is managed by Clerk, a third-party identity provider that handles your login credentials securely. We do not store your passwords directly.

- Opt out of notifications: Manage your notification preferences in the app settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
